Good Old Days Buffet Dinner
MAKAN
Sentosa, Singapore

My first impression when I arrived was that the place was slightly quiet and empty, probably because it had just launched...but then I thought, all the more food for us! And food was indeed the highlight, the building was of a pretty architecture and quite instagram worthy but don't for a second forget about the food. Options are not as wide as a international hotel buffet but as a local buffet it definitely delivered the goods. Singapore's good old days probably heralds to the time of street food and on my visit I was welcome by a treat of national dish - Hainanese Chicken Rice which is a must-try, and also the fried bee hoon which you will find out is a staple for many locals breakfast. There was delicious soup of the day and also many other side dishes like fish, beef, vegetables etc. The hot cooking station is quite interesting as it usually changes twice a month and offers mee siam to laksa. Our group had our fill within 1 hour, and there was also drinks and desserts included...when we were all stuffed, we just walked across to enjoy the Wings of Time show!
