Mountain biking is a strenuous physical activity enjoyed by millions around the world. This rewarding activity allows you to get around and see the world from a new perspective. So put on your helmet and lets ride!

1. Doi Chiang Dao - Chiang Mai Thailand

This place is known as ‘the tooth of the Himalayas’ for its rugged and sharp peaks. It is one of the highest peaks in the country (2225m) and promises a day of fun to all ability levels. At the summit, you can enjoy the beautiful sight of Chiang Mai City and hydrate in several stops with fresh coconut water.

2. Timberland in San Mateo, Rizal – Philippines

Depending on you level of expertise you can choose from Basic, Blue, Green and Pestano trails. The Blue zone is the most popular but not the easiest, expect to be covered in mud and cross bamboo bridges. If you are up for a ruthless climb try The Wall with its 240 meters of ascend.

3. Khánh Lê Dalat - Vietnam

Also known as Heaven Pass, it is the longest pass in Vietnam, stretching 33km from Nha Trang to Da Lat. It is a romantic path where you will enjoy beautiful sceneries as you descend downhill from an altitude of 1600 metres across numerous U-turns and sheer curves.  It is one of the best-paved roads to cycle.

4. Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur – Malaysia

This is a trail network of crisscrossing roads from virtually impossible rocky paths like the Mondo Cool, the sharp Ridge Trail and the steep Twin Peaks. If this is not enough, the humidity and heat will surely make you sweat!

5. Lhasa to Katmandu, Tibet

If you are looking for more than a couple of hours of fun and are more experienced, you will enjoy the world’s longest bike descent from Tibet to Nepal. This trip will take you through very demanding and challenging roads but you will enjoy the sunset on Mount Everest and the colourful Tibetan markets.
