Do you travel for food? Many of us do, in fact some say they will select a destination based on its food. In Asia we’re spoiled for choice with each country enjoying a long heritage of cuisine unique to their country.
Here’s a list of some of our favourites:
  1. Vietnamese food is delicious, and rather uncomplicated to do. Take a half day cooking class in Ho Chi Minh City and visit rice fields and vegetable gardens to select your fresh ingredients.
  1. Most think that Japanese cooking is difficult but it’s really not once you know how. Get tips from master chefs in Kyoto with demonstrations of how to put together your own bento box which include five dishes, including Tempura and Miso Soup.
  1. If you’re visiting Hong Kong you’ll undoubtedly be indulging in some local Dim Sum. Learn the secrets of creating great Dim Sum from professionals and you’ll be hosting Dim Sum parties at home in no time.
  1. Balinese food is part of the amazing experience of visiting the Island of the Gods. Learn from a professional local chef who takes you on a culinary journey beginning with shopping at a traditional market, learning the recipes and then putting it all together. There’s nothing quite like those original Balinese spices.
  1. Head to a professional Thai cookery school in Chiang Mai, surrounded by its own eco-garden and learn how to prepare sumptuous Thai food from the experts.
