In Sabah, there are several paradise islands you can visit that are great for scuba diving. Join the diving tour of the three islands--Sipadan, Mabul, and Kapalai.

Visit Sipadan Island, a World Heritage Site, the only oceanic island in Malaysia which rises 600 metres from the seabed. The island sits on top of living corals which grew on top of an extinct volcanic cone. There are more than 3,000 species of fishes and hundreds of coral species. Swim with green and hawksbill turtles, big-eye trevally, and bumphead parrotfish. See manta rays, eagle rays, scalloped hammerhead sharks, and whale sharks.

Next stop for diving is Mabul Island, a small island which became a fishing village since the 1970s and a popular diving spot in the 1990s as it is close to the Sipadan island. At the Mabul Island, you will encounter flamboyant cuttlefish, blue-ringed octopus, mimic octopus, and bobtail squids. Also there are plenty of different types of gobies--spike-fin goby, black sail-fin goby, and metallic shrimp goby.

Kapalai Island is actually a sandbar that was built to form a true water resort but it is also one of the premiere macro dive sites in the world. It has a small sloping reef approximately 15 metre deep. You will see blue ring octopus, mimic octopus, ghost pipefish, wasp fish, and stonefish. Encounter also the mandarin fish, leaf scorpion fish, and frogfish.

The diving activity is open for all whether you are a beginner or already an expert diver. A dive master will guide you the entire time during the activity. All the diving equipment will be provided from mask, fins, oxygen tank, etc. After the activity, you will be brought back to the port (or the starting point) from the island onboard a boat.

You will stay at a hotel accommodation during the entire tour and ride a two way boat transfers from the port to reach the islands.
